Software design and delivery

Software architecture and hands-on full-stack development.

I contribute across data models, services, TypeScript interfaces, integrations, tests, cloud infrastructure and observability, with the business workflow kept visible throughout delivery.

The context

Design-level thinking is strongest when it remains connected to working software.

My background is hands-on full-stack development across enterprise, product and outsourcing settings. I work comfortably where a system crosses multiple services, data stores, external APIs, devices or operational teams and needs a clear boundary rather than another layer of accidental complexity.

I can lead a focused workstream, establish a technical foundation, improve an existing product or join a team for a difficult integration and delivery phase. The approach covers reliability, testing, deployment and production diagnosis as part of the design.

Business outcomes

What mature delivery should leave behind

A release matters, but so do the decisions and operating capability that survive it.

01

Understandable system boundaries

Make responsibilities, data ownership and service interactions clear enough to change with confidence.

02

A tested path through the product

Cover important behaviour with suitable automated checks from service logic to end-to-end user flows.

03

Visibility in production

Use logs, metrics and tracing to understand failures, latency and behaviour across distributed work.

Selected capabilities

Systems and delivery capabilities

The exact combination follows the problem, the existing environment and the people who will own the result.

  • Distributed systems, microservices and event-driven workflows
  • REST APIs, OAuth 2.0, JWT and external integrations
  • Java and Spring services with SQL and search data
  • TypeScript web applications and business-facing interfaces
  • MQTT devices, WebSocket streams and time-series databases
  • AWS, Azure, Terraform, Docker and CI/CD workflows
  • Selenium, Cucumber, tracing with Jaeger or Datadog, logs and metrics

Working process

A delivery loop from system context to production learning

  1. 01

    Read the existing system

Understand domain rules, code, data, infrastructure, users and current operational pain before changing boundaries.

  2. 02

    Choose a valuable path

Define one coherent flow that exercises the right services, integrations and quality expectations.

  3. 03

    Implement with evidence

Use working increments, automated checks and realistic data to validate the technical choices.

  4. 04

    Release with visibility

Deploy safely, observe real behaviour and feed production understanding into the next decision.

Relevant experience

Selected technical delivery contexts

These examples show range without treating technology names as the outcome.

Cloud and microservice operations

Work has included AWS and Azure environments, Terraform, Docker, Datadog, Jaeger and InfluxDB around distributed service delivery.

Automated product validation

Selenium and Cucumber end-to-end work has been combined with service-level tests and legacy coverage improvement.

Real-time and connected systems

MQTT, GPS and IoT devices, smart-mobility services, WebSocket market feeds and time-series storage have required resilient asynchronous flows.

Good fit

Delivery situations where I fit well

A complex feature crossing several systems

The work requires coordinated changes to data, services, interfaces, infrastructure and external dependencies.

A product with production reliability gaps

Testing, tracing and operational context need to improve alongside functional delivery.

A team needing experienced hands-on direction

The project benefits from someone who can clarify boundaries, implement and communicate across roles.

Questions

Software delivery questions

Do you work only on backend systems?

No. I work full stack, from data and services through TypeScript interfaces and external integrations. The emphasis stays on system behaviour and the business flow rather than a particular frontend framework.

Can you improve an existing codebase?

Yes. I have worked with legacy Java systems, incomplete test coverage and evolving products. The first step is to identify valuable boundaries and reduce change risk with evidence.

Can you support deployment and production diagnosis?

Yes. Cloud infrastructure, containers, CI/CD, distributed tracing, logs and metrics are part of my delivery experience, not separate from application work.
